Geger Beach - a calm, quiet, and romantic white sandy beach.

Geger Beach is one of Bali’s best kept secrets and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Legian and Kuta. In order to to get to Geger beach, just head westwards out of the Nusa Dua enclave passing the golf course and then the St Regis Hotel (on your left). Shortly after the St Regis, take the first turning left towards to the beach and proceed to the Pantai Geger car park.

Geger beach is perfect for swimming with a reef 200 meters offshore the depth of the almost still water remains low up to the reef wall, beyond this the mighty Indian Ocean delivers some of Bali’s biggest surf. Geger beach is a long stretch of white sand beaches interlocking smaller bays and secret coves below the temple on low tides.

You will see seaweed farmers and fishermen in the water. Local villagers in Geger beach also cultivated seaweed and has become particular appeal. The local villagers in Geger beach usually collect twice a day in every morning and afternoon. Geger Beach is ideal for families with young kids, as the beach is protected from waves and is comfortable, generally safe for swimming and some beach side warungs. The restaurant, beachbeds and massage ladys all work for the local cooperative in Geger beach, by suporting them means you also support the locals.



Geger Beach has clean yellow sand, decent clean water and small ripples rather than large waves. It is same for families with young kids and can be a pleasant change from Kuta or Legian and Semiyak Beach. The restaurant makes all the diffence and you can grab decent food and drinks while enjoying a sunny day. Geger has a cooling breeze as it is one of the few beaches facing east and because of the reef far out from the beach it has some of the warmest water temperatures in Bali.

Geger beach is also a favorite place for the new spouse, because it's a calm, quiet, and very romantic white sandy beach.

Pandawa beach, the hidden gems of Bali

Most of us know of the usual places beaches like Dreamland or Kuta Beach, but another more beautiful yet less heard of beach exists, by the name of Pandawa.
