Suluban, the romantic Blue Point beach

Suluban Beach is a beautiful beach with great waves that challenges every surfer to enjoy the surf adventures. Suluban beach is less prestigious than Kuta, Sanur or Nusa Dua, but if you have visited Suluban beach, you'll surely be fascinated with the exoticism of this beach. To reach this beach, you have to walk down past the rather steep hill derivative, through a gap of two cliffs. The high rocks surrounding the beach and the notches are indented, making it an attractive beach viewed from any angle. Descending some 50 meters down to the shore, a vast white sandy beach kissed by turquoise blue waters await, while the pounding waves play the true resounding sounds of nature.


This surf point is many visited by surfers to explore the great wave during April up to August. It is strategically situated in the white stone hill and featured by the beautiful scenery and public facilities quickly growth. Some of souvenir shops have been standing to offers interesting souvenir to bring home and completing this beach as a tourist destination in Bali.

The word Suluban comes from the Balinese language “mesulub” which literally means "to bow down". The name was adopted since visitors must first crouch or bow down when they pass the crevice between boulders that resembles a cave, before reaching the beach below the rocky cliff. The Beach is also known by many people as the Blue Point Beach since it is closely associated with the Blue Point Bay Villa located on the top of the cliff which shade Suluban Beach and if you want to reach the beach you will have to pass the Blue Point Bay villas and spas.


The Suluban beach is Located at the Bukit Peninsula, and is connected to Kuta and Denpasar through Jimbaran by the busy Jalan Bypass Nusa Dua. Suluban beach is approximately 34 Kilometers from Denpasar, you can reach Suluban beach for about 30 minutes drive from the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport or about 45 minutes from the tourist resorts of Kuta-Legian or 5 minutes to Uluwatu Temple. The Suluban beach is situated in Uluwatu Surf Spot and close with other famous surf points such as Uluwatu Beach, Bingin Beach, Padang-padang Beach, Dreamland Beach, Impossible Beach and Balangan Beach.

The Suluban beach is blessed by the breathtaking view to the Indian Ocean with peaceful atmosphere and spectacular sunset at late afternoon that creates the romantic atmosphere.

Most of us know of the usual places beaches like Dreamland or Kuta Beach, but another more beautiful yet less heard of beach exists, by the name of Pandawa.
